Kids are resilient. You aren’t perfect but they love you anyway. Yes, you are going to make mistakes, HUGE ones but as long as you put them first whenever possible and love them with all of your heart, you will forever be their “Mommy” flaws and all.

I never realized that moving away from extended family would negatively impact my life so much. In retrospect I would have have my children grow up close to their Grandparents, Aunts and cousins.

I would tell myself everything is a stage. The good and the not so good- it is all temporary. I would tell myself not worry so much. That worry is unproductive and it won’t change the course of events. I would tell myself to take more deep breathes.

You’ll never be the perfect mom but you’ll be perfect for them.
